Dick's Last Resort (new site)

A new site is up! Dick's last resort, if you are from the Dallas / Fort Worth area, you probably know this unusual restaurant. I won't start describing the restaurant itself, I think you need to go to find that out... The site is all re-done in flash. The main problem about the old design was updating the content, but now Dick's website has all main content external, which means it can be updated fairly easy.

Go ahead and check it out! Get a real taste of the new Dick's Last Resort website

Book I recommend

Building Online Communities with Drupal, phpBB, and Wordpress.
I bought this book a few weeks ago. I wanted to lear more about these great php applications, especially Drupal and wordpress. Why am I recommitting it? well I have to admit the information this book provides it's already online (free!!) but if you go to Drupal.org or Wordpress.org finding a starting point is somehow overwhelming, with this book you get a sense of directions from installing to customizing your site. I must add that now that I have been playing with the applications for a while, the online resource makes more sense, and it's an excellent place to look for more info.

Daniel's vision was to create a web site to show his work as a Christian musician, to get in touch with his friends and "fans"; He also wanted to inform his users about concerts, evangelism information, and mainly his music. He wanted an easy and accessible way for the users to listen to his music and also buy it. All these was accomplish with web standards (XHTML & CSS) and flash for the animation and music player.
